Bring your family!

Boise, Idaho is a fantastic city full of family friendly activities and events. Bring your two-year-old to Zoo Boise, or stop by the Discovery Center with your five-year-old. Both of these are located in a local park (Julia Davis Park), just a quick walk from the downtown hotels, and both appeal to children of all ages.

Bring your partner and/or children to the public pools, complete with play areas. Or consider a visit to the Idaho History Museum, the Idaho Black History Museum, and the Boise Art Museum. And if you do stop by, be sure to use this fantastic museum pass.

Do your children love cars? What about trains? There is a historical tour on a trolley car that any child or parent would love. Or you could always stop by one of Boiseís terrific parks, like the Camel's Back Park, for example, and then a short walk away is a fun ice cream spot and a toy store.

Childcare openings vary day to day and most facilities require notice ahead of time to make sure they are fully staffed. However, these childcare facilities are located within a three mile radius of Boise State University, and they do accept drop-ins.

Note: Boise State University, the Council of Writing Program Administrators, the Idaho Association for the Education of Young Children, the IdahoSTARS project, and the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare do not evaluate or endorse childcare facilities. We cannot assure that any provider gives quality child care.

CWPA in Boise isnít just about writing and learning, it can also be a great opportunity for a mini family vacation!
